Sail Canada Introduction to Boating Standards

With the written exam, you will receive the Pleasure Craft Operator Card and basic boating skills. There are no defined evaluation components for this standard. Sessions will typically end with a conversation with participants about what was learned and their next steps.


Prerequisites: None

Program Format: 4 hours of theory and boating practice

Instructor: Oleg Nakarikov, Sail Canada Certified Instructor, RYA Yachtmaster Ocean

Schedule: Every day from 8 am to 8 pm by advance booking


Boat Options:

  1. Select from our fleet: Bowriders, Deck Boats, Pontoons, Sailing Boat Hunter 33

  2. Student's Own Boat

Languages: Lessons can be presented in English, according to the Sail Canada standards and terminology, and in Russian with detailed explanations.



Course Fee

CAD 200 + HST: minimum 4 hours in a group, per person


CAD 600 + HST: minimum 4 hours per boat
